True North Local/Sustainable Suppliers produce and distribute local materials, including TNW certified products, and/or FSC certified products for LEED, MN GreenStar, and other green building and remodeling projects and are located within a 500 mile radius of Minneapolis - St. Paul. The forest and non-forest products include:
- Foundation Materials
- Envelope Materials
- Interior Materials
- Outdoor Materials
The listed suppliers indicate that products they produce and/or distribute will qualify for credit under the LEED program for either:
- Local Materials: forest and non-forest products shipped from within a 500 mile radius of Minneapolis - St. Paul
- FSC Certified Products: forest products certified by the Forest Stewardship Council
- TNW Certified Products: forest products certified by the Minnesota Wood Campaign

Become a LSSC Supplier
The purpose of the Consortium is to promote local materials and FSC certified materials in LEED, MN GreenStar, and other green building and remodeling projects. The goals are to expand supplier access to green building and remodeling projects; increase access to local and green products pro by architects and interior designers, builders and remodelers, and consumers; and support our regional economy and green building and remodeling programs.
Listings are open to suppliers of local materials and FSC certified materials within a 500 miles radius of Minneapolis - St. Paul. Listed suppliers benefit from:
- Marketing Opportunities. Website listing. Link to your Website. No-fee participation.
- Promotion of Four Major Material Types. Foundation materials. Envelope materials. Interior materials. Outdoor materials.
- Supplying Local Materials. Either forest or non-forest materials a percentage of which are extracted/ harvested/ recovered/ salvaged, manufactured, and shipped within a 500 mile radius of a building or remodeling project, the center of which is Minneapolis - St. Paul.
